Clifton
Smith, M.D.
Clifton Smith, M.D., established the Kentucky Dermatology
and Skin Cancer Clinic in 1973 and the Cosmetic Surgery Center
in 1995; both located in the same building at 177 Burt Road,
Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Smith specializes in skin cancer,
general dermatology, dermatological surgery and cosmetic surgery.
He has held live workshops on liposuction and laser resurfacing
for other physicians. Dr. Smith uses state-of-the-art equipment
in both Kentucky Dermatology and Skin Cancer Clinic and the
Cosmetic Surgery Center.
Dr. Smith graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University,
Nashville, Tennessee, and received his medical degree from
the Washington University, St. Louis. He served as Chief Resident
of the Dermatology Department at the Medical College of Georgia
in Augusta, Georgia. He has been an assistant professor at
the University of Kentucky since 1973. He is an Associate
with the American Academy of Dermatolog and a Diplomate of
the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Smith has maintained
his training in the most recent technologies pertaining to
Laser Resurfacing, Tumescent Liposuction, and the newer diode
lasers now available. He has contributed research articles
to several professional journals and dermatologic textbooks.
Dr. Smith maintains hospital privileges at Central Baptist
Hospital; St. Joseph Hospital and Samaritan Hospital, all
located in Lexington, Kentucky. He is a member of Central
Kentucky and Kentucky Dermatological Associations, Fayette
County Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Association and the
American Medical Association, American Academy of Dermatology,
American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, International Society
for Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery,
American Academy of Liposuction Surgery, and Society of Laser
Surgeons.
Dr. Smith is a senior member of the National Botox® Cosmetic
Training Faculty and has trained over 30 physicians.
John
G. Roth, M.D.
John G. Roth, M.D., has been associated with the Kentucky
Dermatology and Skin Cancer Clinic since 1992. Dr. Roth specializes
in skin cancer, general dermatology and dermatological surgery.
Dr. Roth uses state-of-the-art equipment in both Kentucky
Dermatology and Skin Cancer Clinic.
Dr. Roth graduated cum laude from Bellarmine College in Louisville,
Kentucky and received his medical degree from the University
of Louisville School of Medicine. His Residency was completed
at the Department of Dermatology at the Medical College of
Wisconsin. Dr. Roth is Board Certified through the American
Board of Dermatology and belongs to: the Central Kentucky
Dermatological Society, Fayette County Medical Society, Kentucky
Medical Association, Kentucky Dermatological Society and American
Medical Association. He is also a member of the American Academy
of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Roth has authored several articles in leading journals
regarding Bullous Disease, treating acne with Accutane, Cutaneous
Ulcers, Hyperimmunoglobulin E Syndrome and tropical dermatology
with emphasis on deep mycoses, and presented to the Society
of Investigative Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology.
He maintains training in the most recent technologies available
pertaining to dermatology.
Dr. Roth maintains hospital privileges at the Samaritan Hospital,
St. Joseph Hospital, and Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington,
Kentucky.
